Pure Water San Diego, the City's 20-year program to produce purified water to supplement San Diego's drinking water supply, is underway. An initial 15-million gallon per day water purification facility is planned to be in operation by 2023. The long term goal, producing 83 million gallons of purified water per day (one third of San Dieog's future drinking water supply), is planned to be reached by 2035.

Come learn about this new locally controlled, drought-proof water supply and take a tour of the Advanced Water Purification Facility.

Cathy Pieroni, Government Affairs Manager, City of San Diego Public Utilities, will provide an overview of the facility. Ms. Pieroni has served as the Governmental Affairs Manager of the City of San Diego's Public Utilities Commission for over a decade. She is the Department's lead on matters pertaining to imported water and statewide water policy.
