Join AWWE's Los Angeles Regional Team for a presentation on the future of natural gas by Southern California Gas Company's Business/Policy Manager, Ken Chawkins.

Mr. Chawkins is responsible for developing key, broad-based relationships with business, government and non-profit stakeholders to provide balanced input to policy priorities and direction.  He has over 20 years of experience in the energy/utility industry, having spent 18 years at Southern California Edison previous to his current position.  At SCE, Ken worked in both policy and operational capacities.  Ken's experience has given him a broad perspective on the energy industry as a whole.

Additionally, Ken has worked as a non-profit manager (Coro Southern California) and a university administrator at UCLA. He has also participated on many local non-profit boards and commissions, most of which focus on youth issues and public education. He holds a BA in Political Science from UCLA, a MA in Public Policy from Claremont and is a graduate of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs (New York ’89). He currently lives in Pasadena with his wife, Dr. Lan Nguyen-Chawkins and two teen-aged daughters.

Lunch will be provided.

Special thanks to Southern California Gas Company for hosting this event.
