On this tour you will have the opportunity to view a botanical oasis filled with a variety of drought-tolerant plants, all identified.  There are hundreds of species, both native and non-native. The Gardens offer many ideas for home landscape plantings, plus innovative irrigation systems to reduce water use and wasteful run off. A resident weather station is designed to collect data and program the irrigation system to automatically respond to changing weather conditions.

We will meet at 5:00 PM on October 6 to tour the garden located at the District’s Antelope reservoir site. AWEEE is pleased to have District staff, Stephanie Crary, Water Conservation Coordinator, as our host, joined by Vicki Sprague, a water efficiency technician. It might surprise you that most of the beautiful plants at this special garden are water efficient.

A wine and cheese reception hosted by the California Power Law Group will be held in the gazebo immediately following the tour.

Please RSVP by October 2nd!  Cost is free for members and $35 for non-members.
