Please join AWWEE’s San Francisco Bay Area leadership team at Oakland’s own Stage Left Cellars to sip exquisite wines and share in a discussion of energy-efficiency and sustainability in winemaking. Stage Left hand-crafts small batches of Rhone varieties (including Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, and others) from 10 vineyards throughout California. We’re delighted to hold an event in their beautiful winery and tasting room! 

Speakers include:

  • Melinda Doty, Owner and Co-winemaker of Stage Left Cellars, will share her journey from a career in sales, marketing, and distribution to owner of a successful winery 
  • Joe Horak, Manager of PG&E’s Agriculture and Food Processing Segment, will tell us about PG&E’s programs that have provided nearly $24 million in in energy-efficiency incentives to 392 California wineries since 2001
  • Susanne Zechiel, ‎Senior Client Manager at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, will discuss water conservation in winegrowing and winemaking operations based her work with Sonoma County wineries

COST: $10 for members and $45 non-members (wine tasting included for those that are interested)

Advance registration is required (unfortunately, we can’t accept any last-minute attendees at the door!).


Event participation is limited to individuals over the age of 21. 

Light appetizers will be provided.
