Join us for an informal discussion regarding California energy and water issues with the newest commissioner at the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the first-ever African-American woman to serve on both the California Energy Commission and the CPUC. Commissioner Carla J. Peterman will share her perspectives on the CPUC's role in addressing key state energy and water issues as well as her own personal path to public service.

 

About the Speaker:

In December 2012, Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. appointed Carla J. Peterman to the CPUC. She serves as the CPUC's lead Commissioner for alternative transportation and storage issues. Prior to her role a the CPUC, she was previously appointed by Governor Brown to the California Energy Commission where she was lead Commissioner for renewables, transportation and natural gas. She is the first African-American woman to be appointed to both Commissions.

 

Event Details:

The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. The discussion will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., preceded and followed by time for networking. Resource Solutions Group will provide light refreshments and beverages. Special thanks to EEFG for hosting the event in their space.

 

COST: Free for members; $35.00 for non-members.
