California is a major oil/gas producer and also a renewable energy development leader and is on the verge of expanding its oil/gas production from the Monterey Shale formation using hydraulic fracturing and other oil field practices that have been ongoing for about 50 years, but have recently come under scrutiny.

Join AWWEE for a discussion with Catherine Reheis-Boyd, President of Western States Petroleum Association, and Mariam Gordon, California Director of Clean Water Action, on the oil field practices of concern, their risks, and related environmental protection measures within the context of California's energy and greenhouse gas reduction policies.

Come join us for lunch on Wednesday, October 30th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the office of Downey Brand LLP located at 621 Capitol Mall, 18th Floor in Sacramento, CA.
